Making A Prototype Model- 'Permanence'

Here is the professional photoshoot of my prototype model of Jasmine for my project 'Permanence'. I made a prototype due to the fact I wanted to experiment and practice before making the official model, as this was only my fifth time making a 3D model; and the first with a professional skeleton!
The skeleton I used was a real armature that used to be used by Aardman before they produced their own line of armatures that they solely use now. I was grateful to have gotten my hands on one of these but it was so hard to produce a perfect skeleton as the instructions only showed a photo of the finished product! And even when I went online to search for advice and videos of others making these armatures, they all didn't show their progress! It's like some sort of secret in the modelling world which baffled me!

I know that maybe a lot of people who work on models like this are grinding their teeth at how awful my attempt was... but at least it worked! It was solid, it moved and I had no hassle in hiding it with the felt and polystyrene.

I'm so glad I made this tester model as I learnt a lot from it and made many mistakes which I was able to avoid on the professional model.

Once the model was made, I went out and gave it a professional photoshoot in an environment that matched my films setting. You can now watch my film on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=949_2AhmYTE
